Medicaid physical assesment

My Medicaid physical assessment has been completed today

No shock at all, I do physically qualify. Now the remainder of their task will be to assess my financial qualification. If that part goes through it will be easier to access mental health services, and my prescription costs will drop. They are looking at approximately two hours a day of care.

I am glad this is working — a bit of the system that actually provides some relief rather than more headaches. Will two hours a day be a sufficient amount of home care to get your needs met and still allow for a happy independent life?

At this stage, yes…because my primary needs are help transferring into the shower…help with some cooking and some laundry. (Oh, and someone putting on my shoes.)

What I’m going to like about the cooking help is that the person will be directed to cook the foods I like, can still eat, and are optimal for my present weight loss and nutritonal goals.

Me getting out more…that’s a goal too, but I don’t know how that’s going to work.
