Human Weapons…The next level

February 2, 2008 at 4:35 PM (Uncategorized) (, , )

I have nothing to say, except that I’m crying about this

Iraqi officials said the women in Friday’s attack apparently were mentally disabled and the explosives were detonated by remote control, indicating they may not having been willing attackers in what could be a new method by suspected Sunni insurgents to subvert stepped up security measures.

Picture of health….

On the one hand, I still love reading British writers of the 19th century.

On the other hand, they bug me.

When I was a student, burying my nose in Bronte,Austen, or Dickens…

“Sickly” “God bless us every one…” “Pale”

All these martyred wheezing women and children…. because I could never imagine “sickly” applying to me.

But, once the chemo got done with me, and I have sixty less working lymph nodes than I did before March 1991… germs are like mosquitoes…they show up like clockwork and do the exact same thing every year

Bronchitis showed up yesterday….so, orange juce, Vitamin C, a steam shower, Advil, Coricidin HPB, Zicam to try to keep it at theĀ  “cold” level.

Yeah, I’m sickly….Now, alll I need to do is wear an 1840’s (or worse, the puzzling Empire waist) dress, run out in the rain and get rescued by some arrogant entitled jerk…and I’m my own Austen/Bronte character or Merchant Ivory film….

But, I have vacation scheduled for Wed-Fri of next week, so I’m pleased that if they showed up, they at least had the decency to choose the week that I only have to chain myself to the phone two days… but it was going to be a *working vacation* seeing various sorts of professionals for various sorts of reasons….Now, I’m just going to sleep.

But, unless the roomate *also* catches the crud before Tuesday…

I’m hitting the caucus and will try to write about that experience, (If I’m able to arrive on time) next week.
